Let it snow. Let it snow. Let it snow outside, because I’m going to be participating in all of the great indoor activities that Loudoun offers during the winter. I’ve never been a fan of cold weather so instead of staying in I thought I’d share some of my favorites to enjoy in Loudoun during the chilly months.

Imagine it. You and your team are locked in a room for one hour, a mere 60 minutes, to defeat the defenses and resolve the final problem that will lead you to the only way out. Do you have an exit plan? This new escape room in Downtown Leesburg allows you to enter the mind of puzzle masters. Whether you are escaping a government safe house or grade-school detention, you will have to put your mind to work to crack the classic puzzles and ciphers to make your way to safety.

iFly

Ever thought about jumping out of a plane?I know I have, but before I take the actual leap I’m going to check out iFly at One Loudoun. iFly is an indoor skydiving arena which simulates a true free-fall experience in a vertical wind tunnel. Make your dream of flight a reality.

The best place to relax during a cold day is by the fire and it’s even better with a glass of Loudoun wine or beer in hand. Whether it’s a fireplace or a firepit, a brewery or a winery or enjoying a delicious meal at one of Loudoun’s great restaurants, the fire is my happy place. Check out 8 Chains North, Grandale Vintner’s Table, The Winery & Vineyards at Lost Creek, Dirt Farm Brewing, Old 690 Brewing Company and many more for warm fireplaces.
