Round Hill potter, David Norton, invites the public to attend his annual autumn show at Potterosa Gallery showcasing functional pottery and ceramic sculptures including Bowls, plates, mugs, cups, pitchers, platters, casseroles, vegetable steamers and vases. Check out this unique art show this Saturday & Sunday from 10am-4pm.

A Night with John Muir – November 12muir 2

Come to the Old Stone School for “A Night with John Muir” on November 12. John Muir is the legendary conservationist who founded the Sierra Club and was instrumental in getting President Roosevelt to establish our National Parks System, which Ken Burns calls “America’s best idea.” 2016 is the centennial celebration of our parks …so the 1916 theme in Hillsboro continues! Doors open at the Old Stone School at 6:30 p.m. and the performance begins at 7:00 p.m.  See you there!

Do you think you have what it takes to make an award-winning wine? 50 West Vineyards offers Winemaker for a Day for a unique experience where guests can learn from the experts. As an “apprentice” winemaker, you will have the opportunity to taste premium wine and be guided step by step in making your own blend. After you create your wine, Winemakers Nate and Corry will hand bottle your blend in time for you to enjoy it or give it as a gift during the holiday season.
